Mathematical competence

Mathematical competence and competence in science, technology, and engineering are a set of skills that are related to problem solving, critical thinking, quantitive reasoning and applying those skills into everyday life situations and working life. These skills help a person to think logically and rationally, organize their tasks and daily life operations, manage their budget, and calculate different kinds of mathematical calculations needed in their life and at work. These skills also help a person to estimate sizes, processes, and consequences. Mathematical competence and competence in science, technology, and engineering are important in many professions and tasks at the workplace. 

The main goal of these exercises is to:  

• Develop daily life mathematical skills. 
• Give more skills to utilize mathematical skills in concrete tasks. 
• Help students to succeed in VET studies that require mathematical skills.
